It’s Poland here. We’d like to tell you something about our Big Dance in Cracow, Poznan and here, in Nowy Tomysl. We started preparing ourselves to this performance about one and a half month ago. At first we tried to learn this dance only from a movie, but then we had first big rehearsal in Poznan. All students were confused because we didn’t know that we should look at the dancers like into the mirror but we went through this problem very fast.

After the rehearsal and all our meetings we were ready to go to Cracow where all schools from Poland were performing Big Dance. The trip from Poznan was supposed to go quick but we were travelling to Cracow over 12 hours. On the second and third day in the afternoons we had last meetings to make sure that everything was ok and everybody knows the steps of all choreography. It would be too easy if everything was ok. All schools from Cracow didn’t know anything about the mirror thing so in a way they had to learn everything again. Between meals and rehearsals we also had some time to see the city. On the second and third day we visited The Wawel and walked around the old town. On the fourth day, after breakfast, we had some time to pack our stuff and we went to British Council for a while. Then we had last few-minutes rehearsal and we went to the old market to invite people to come and see how we dance. At 1 pm. Mrs Kraśniewska said a few words to audience why we dance and finally we could make it. In my opinion everything went well. After our performance a few tourists made sort of mini interview with some of us.
And that was all. Students from Cracow went to their classes and we went home after dinner.

Big Dance was organized because of the Olimpic Games, but I think that even without a reason like this, it is very a good way to do something funny, meet new people and make new friends.
